2-stroke Senior National + Master
2-stroke Senior National + Master
Are you just starting with karting races? Are you transitioning from a 4-Stroke Junior or Senior Kart, or are you taller/heavier than the average driver? Then the 2-Stroke Senior class, or the Master class is really something for you! Especially for the enthusiastic hobby drivers and competitive racers who want to race in an accessible way with their fast 2-stroke Senior kart, there are the 2-Stroke Senior and the 2-Stroke Senior National Class. In 2019, we started setting up this class and immediately saw a great class emerge. Participants with a Rotax Senior engine and an Iame X30 Senior engine competed against each other, resulting in fantastic races for years. Because despite the engines coming from different manufacturers, each with their own engine characteristics, the field is very close together. And even the enthusiastic hobby drivers are competing at the front of the field!
As a participant in the 2-Stroke Senior National class, you race for one overall classification. Here, both the Rotax engines and the X30 engines race together. Additionally, we also keep a separate engine classification per type of engine. So, each weekend you have a chance to win double prizes!
And that's not all, because in addition to our great trophies, as a participant in the 2-Stroke Senior National class, you also have a chance to win a fantastic season prize. The overall champion of the 2-Stroke Senior National class wins a free entry to the licensing course of the Dutch Race Driver Academy at the Zandvoort circuit! With this, we, together with the DRDA, help you reach an NXT level in your racing career.
And what about the Master class? Especially for all drivers who are taller/heavier than the regular Senior or Senior National field, we have a special Master class. In this class, all regulations are the same, only the total weight of kart+driver is slightly higher. The Senior National class races at 165kg, the Master class at 180kg. Age does not matter, as long as it concerns the minimum Senior age (14 years).
As a Master driver, you obviously also have your own Master classification. Here, there is only one overall classification. Additionally, as a Master driver, you also compete in the overall classification of the Senior National and participate in the sub-classifications of your engine type. The Master class is growing and growing, and we expect at least 10 Masters at the start of each race.
